Dan, is a development Consultant with over seventeen years of experience in Gender policy development, analysis and review; M& E; Social protection and HIV/AIDS. Taking on the role of either a Lead or Associate consultant, he has undertaken several consultancy assignments for NGOs, and Government institutions both at local and international level. Some of the assignments he has undertaken include; a Mid-term evaluation of project: “Accelerated promotion of girls’ education through engendering Church Education Structures conducted on behalf of Forum for African Women Education and Association for Christian Education in Malawi; A study on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Malawi a Case of Nsanje District.
Dan has previously worked with UNFPA as a Gender Based Violence/Reproductive health Coordinator. He has worked under VSO as the HIV/AIDS Coordinator in the Malawi Government overseeing HIV/AIDS implementation in districts of Malawi as well as HIV and AIDS Management Advisor with SAHARA HIV and AIDS Organisation – Nepal, Kathmandu. He also worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor with Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWEMA) where he worked with partners and government to develop an advocacy campaign for a readmission policy of teen mothers in Malawi . Other positions he has undertaken include; Organisational Development Advisor with Kwazulu Natal Network on Violence Against Women (KZNNVW), South Africa; Advocacy Development Officer with Center for Domestic Violence Prevention (CEDOVIP), Kampala, Uganda, Gender Mainstreaming Consultant with Makerere University, and as HIV and AIDS Prevention and Health Promotional Officer Innovative Vision Organisation United Kingdom.
He holds a Masters Degree of Gender and Women Studies, a Post graduate Diploma of Education and a Bachelors Degree of Social Sciences (Sociology) degree, all of Makerere University, Kampala.
