Kiwanuka Benedict

Benedict  has considerable consultancy experience the areas of Programme  development, M& E, Policy development, analysis and review, Applied social research, organisational strengthening and HIV. He has undertaken assignments for Government, INGOs and local NGOs both at national and local level. Notable among his assignments are the following : He conducted an ex-post evaluation of the JICA/GOU Collaboration Health Support project in Eastern Uganda for Ministry of Health JICA/GOU – Ernest & Young Japan; Conducted Management review/Audit and HR restructuring for National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) in partnership with Ernest & Young for National Water & Sewerage Corporation ; Technical support to Uganda Local Governments Association(ULGA) – Institutional capacity building support and performance management for Uganda Local Governments Association (ULGA) and a Review of the implementation of the recommendations of the CLGF Kiyaga Report on the implementation of the Aberdeen Agenda by the Government of Uganda (2013) for The Commonwealth Secretariat.  His other areas of competence are in the areas of Child rights and protection, Good governance and social accountability.

He  has served in various management positions with  Government ,INGOs   and private institutions  where he has assumed the following roles ;  Resource mobilisation, M&E, training/facilitation, capacity building/OD Project planning, management, organisational development, and staff Development. He has previously worked with Ministry of Local Government as  District Community Development Officer/Assistant Community Mobiliser RUWASA DANIDA Project; as a Program Unit manager and Trainer with PLAN Uganda; as a Coordinator HIV/AIDS Home care program with Villa Maria Hospital; as a  Director with Tripartite Training Programme (TTP) and Target Development and Training Uganda (TADET) as a Programmes Director.

Benedict holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration  And Management (MPAM) ; a  Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in  Education   (PGDE)  all of Makerere University Kampala.
