What We Do.

Grants Management and Technical Assistance

We act as the bridge between donors and their implementing partners, strengthening implementing partners’ capacity in financial management and compliance and in outcome and impact orientation for results-oriented programming and reporting. We also advise donor-clients on viable areas of funding based on analysis of contextual realities and their funding priorities. We review grant applications to enhance outcome and impact orientation. Since 2016, DLC’s services have been retained by the Germany-based donor, Bread for the World Protestant Development Service, to provide ongoing technical assistance to 19 implementing partners in Uganda in the areas of Outcome and Impact orientation and financial management compliance. DLC has also previously supported America- based Wellspring Philanthropy Fund to identify and assess the capacity of 60 organisations in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania to inform the Fund’s grant making decisions.
