Evidence-based decision-making begins with high-quality research. DLC conducts rigorous applied social research that generates practical insights to inform policy, programming and organisational decision-making across diverse development sectors.

We employ both qualitative and quantitative research methods, drawing on participatory approaches that place communities and stakeholders at the centre of the research process. Our multidisciplinary team has experience conducting national and sub-national studies across governance, gender, safeguarding, education, livelihoods, health, social protection, youth empowerment and organisational development.

Our research services include needs assessments, feasibility studies, situation analyses, institutional assessments, gender analyses, political economy analyses, perception studies, stakeholder mapping, market and value chain research, operational research, knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) surveys, mixed-methods research, data collection and analysis, report writing and dissemination.
